Travel information

Cologne is located very centrally in Germany and Europe. We are very easy to reach via car, train and plane! Instructions on how to get to the youth hostel for the registration once you are in Cologne can be found here. From the airport [CGN] you simply take S-Bahn 13 (or any other regional train in that direction) for a few minutes to 'Cologne Deutz.' The hostel is right across the street.

International and national travellers should check out the low cost airlines. You often get return tickets for far less then 100€! The biggest ones are linked below. There are many more cheap airlines. Also check out flights to nearby airport Düsseldorf [DUS] with a good and fast (40 mins) train connection to Cologne.

  • Germanwings ([CGN], Germany and Europe. Make sure to register your email and get information on 'Crazy nights'. During these nights you get extremely cheap tickets!)
  • HLX ([CGN], Germany and Europe)
  • Easyjet ([CGN] or via [DTM] Dortmund and train to Cologne, Flights to Great Britain)
  • Air Berlin ([CGN] and [DUS], Germany and Europe)
  • Ryanair (Great Britain to Düsseldorf Weeze [NRN] and Frankfurt Hahn [HHN]. Buses to Cologne take 1:15 and 2:15 hours.)
  • Cologne also has very good bus connections, especially to many eastern European cities: Eurolines
